Spring in Kerégal - Plouha

Spring in Brittany

It's a magical time of year to explore the Goëlo coast. The Easter holidays and the many festivals in May offer plenty of opportunities to come and stay at Les Cirés jaunes. In a few lines, a few reasons to plan your visit in spring!

  1. Nature awakens! Spring is the season when nature wakes up after a long winter. The region's gardens and parks are magnificent, with flowers in full bloom adorned in vibrant colours and trees budding. Breathe in the song of nature as it awakens and listen to the birdsong in the heart of the forests and valleys.

  1. Mild temperatures and beautiful light make for ideal hiking weather. The coastal paths, GR34, offer spectacular views of the sea: the cliffs at Plouha offer breathtaking views, le sillon de Talbert, a natural and geological site unique in Europe and many others.
  2. Beautiful towns such as** Dinan**, Dinard or Saint-Malo are for you. No rush in sight! Binic, Paimpol and Saint-Quay-Portrieux offer you their most beautiful faces. The island of Bréhat** is waiting to be discovered. Now's the time to take advantage of a peaceful visit. No need to wait at the landing stages, where the Paon lighthouse, the Birlot tidal mill, the Corderie cove and many other curiosities await you.

Dinan, medieval town

  1. For history buffs, the Goëlo coast is rich in heritage. Beauport Abbey in Paimpol, the Craca mill in Plouézec, the Roche Jagu castle, the temple in Lanleff, Pontrieux**, the village of fifty wash-houses, and Tréguier and its collegiate churches are all worth a visit.
  2. At the end of the day, there's nothing better than wandering through the streets of Paimpol, discovering artists' boutiques, painting workshops, second-hand goods shops and the many shops on offer in the town centre. Finally, take the time to sample some oysters at the Ferme Marine Paimpolaise "maison Arin", oyster-farmers for four generations at the pointe de Kerarzic, opposite Beauport Abbey, or simply sip a drink overlooking Paimpol harbour.
